The SARS Co-V2 pandemic has changed our world. It has accelerated global academic, pharma industry, and clinical trial capabilities to generate vaccines faster than ever before. Research initiatives have harnessed and stimulated new high throughput omics technologies, innovative mRNA vaccine technologies, structural biology, and immuno-biology knowledge. The potential to be prepared for future coronavirus pandemics has emerged, but can we take the next step and realize this potential? Out of necessity, clinical trials target adult subjects, but we still require more evidence and relevant trials to use new vaccines in pediatric patients. This session highlights our progress in these areas, as well as the hurdles that remain, and discusses the potential to be ready for the next pandemic.

CME credits and/or Certificates of Completion are not provided for this session.

1- Learn new findings about SARS-CoV-2 vaccine development and the real world effectiveness of their use globally

2- Learn new finding about patient-specific immune-biology related to COVID-19

3- Understand new vaccine strategies to manage SARS-CoV-2 infection in pediatric patients
