This session features speakers who will summarize up to date knowledge and future direction for research related to biological, physiological and social impacts of e-cigarette use, with particular focus on new users. Topics will include an overview of policy strengths and limitations related to regulation of e-cigarette and e-cigarette juice availability. Specific insight on molecular and cellular responses in the lung will be featured, including tissue remodeling, immunity and inflammation. A recent ATS workshop summary on EVALI will be featured, and the evolution of e-cigarette devices in the last decade will be discussed.

• Learn new findings about the biological and physiological impacts of e-cigarette and vaping use on the lung
• Improve understanding of the epidemiology, pathogenesis and clinical management of E-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injury (EVALI)
• Learn about existing and needed effective policies for the regulation of e-cigarette and vaping product availability
